Welcome to Karla Veens Counselling and Psychotherapy, where your path to a more fulfilled life begins. My practice is founded on the belief that everyone faces unique challenges and transitions in life, and navigating these moments should never be a solitary journey. From addressing parenting concerns and children's mental health to overcoming co-dependency and adapting to life changes, I bring a wealth of varied experience and education to provide personalized support and effective solutions.

There are many intricacies of the human mind and interpersonal relationships are often complex. My mission is to empower individuals and families to achieve mental wellness and harmony through compassionate, comprehensive counselling and psychotherapy services. Are you ready to embark on a collaborative path towards healing, growth, and profound self-discovery?

I am a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers, and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and have experience in child welfare, working with Indigenous and settler populations as a protection and family support worker. I currently serve as a school social worker, providing short-term counseling and psychotherapy, facilitating psychoeducational groups, and leading mental health activities. Since November 2022, I have also been facilitating 2-day ASIST workshops for a public school board. Committed to lifelong learning, I continually engage in courses and self-reflective practices to enhance my service.
